Welcome to Stan's Hollywood Treasures! This blog is a collection of vintage photographs and movie star memorabilia. These items were collected by my uncle in the late 20's, 30's and 40's. He loved the arts and all things associated with it. Although he spent his youth growing up on a farm in Garland, Utah he spent hours reading Hollywood magazines and going to the movies every chance he could - hitching a ride with friends (after chores of course). While in high school he started writing to his favorite actor or actress and tell them what he loved about them and their movie. They would often write him back and send him a hand-signed photo of themselves. Stan and Jimmy Stewart even exchanged Christmas cards! I dedicate this blog to Stanley Johnson who as a young man fell in love with Hollywood.
